- Want a bed reserved in nursing facility
- Don't want to transfer assets out of their names
- Want their residential, adult day, and respite care paid for
Long term care insurance is not for people who:
- Will spend down their assets within 6 months of going to a home
- Don't want high premiums
- Have recently been hospitalized or take many medications
- Are already receiving worker's comp, medicare, etc.
- Are broke
- Have children that watch them full time
