What To Do If You Are Disabled
- Consult (for free) with a workers comp attorney about your options
- Consult (for free) a disability attorney about filing a claim with social insecurity
- Visit a doctor about your condition and treatment
- Contact your credit card companies to see if you have disability protection on your debt
- Stop all impulse or binge buying (Avoid malls, shops, etc.)
Remember that when filing a claim with Social Insecurity, you must be:
- Unable to do any work anywhere for an employer
- Totally disabled or blind
- Been prevented from working your previous jobs for the last fifteen years by this impairment
- A US citizen.
Expect social security to automatically turn all claims down the first time. Why they have an initial claim, jsut to deny is beyond me, but that is man's government in-action.
